This site exists because my ears and heart hurt due to all the screaming from those on both ends of the political spectrum. Once the screaming stops, I believe that the “silent majority” in our country recognize that the solutions to most of our problems lie in between the positions of the screamers.
I have posted some thoughts on current issues and welcome thoughtful, constructive feedback and contributions from others. Principles I will follow here are:
- Problem solving requires answering WHY is the situation the way it is. Until we find the answer to this, we will only be attempting to solve the symptoms rather than the cause(s) of the problem.
- Party affiliation is irrelevant. The two major parties have demonstrated over the last few decades that the only principles guiding them are those that get them re-elected, they have nothing to do with what is right for America.
- I reserve the right to refuse to post any negative or destructive comments or contributions in order to further the debates on the issues rather than drop them to the lowest levels.
- Any quotes or statistics must be verifiable or will not be allowed. Just because your brother-in-law e-mailed it to you does not mean he took the time to verify it. Check it. If you don’t I will. If you do not see your comments posted, it means it did not check out.
- I am operating this unsupported site alone. I also have a full-time job that keeps me from my computer. Please allow some time for me to post your feedback.
